Taking a breath
It’s normal to feel overwhelmed when your thoughts are racing. You’re not alone—many people experience a busy mind, especially during stressful moments. When it feels like you can’t slow down, try this simple movement to invite calm and quietness into your day.
The detailed instructions are below the video.
-
Place your feet flat on the ground, about hip-width apart. Let your arms relax by your sides. Close your eyes.
-
Inhale deeply through your nose as you slowly lift your arms out to the sides, bringing them up to shoulder height.
-
Hold your breath. As you gently bring your open hands toward your chest, set the intention to gather calm and quietness. Imagine you are drawing peaceful energy, inviting your mind to settle.
-
Exhale slowly through your mouth as you let your arms float back down, releasing any tension and letting your thoughts drift away with your breath.
-
Repeat this movement three times. Imagine you’re collecting your thoughts, then letting them go as you exhale.
Notice how your body feels. Notice your breath. Even if your mind is still busy, each movement and breath is a gentle invitation to calm and quietness.
